He is with us.

How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. (Psalm 139:17-18 NIV)

We cannot comprehend the vastness of the heavens.  There are too many stars, too many celestial bodies and too many mysteries yet to be discovered.  We cannot fully appreciate words like omnipresence and omniscience which attempt to express the vastness and complexity of God’s knowledge and constant presence.  Those words are seldom used because we cannot understand how God can be ever present and know all there is to know.  It is simply too much for us and the words to describe the Almighty God are mostly left unused.

In spite of not being able to comprehend, understand, evaluate or much less even be able to list in any numeric way the thoughts about God… we find Him near us.  If we stop to reflect on His nearness and intimacy to us, we are again left with the incomprehensible and overwhelming. We cannot count the grains of sand but we know the warmth and joy it beings to just walk in it.  We cannot fathom the thoughts of the all-knowing and ever present God but how precious and warm are the days when we walk with Him. srm

“And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.  (Matthew 10:30 NIV)
