We find Him as we remember Him.

I lift up my eyes to the mountains -- where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber … The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore”
(Selections from Psalm 121 NIV).

As David went up to worship God, he remembered and reflected on the source of  help for all the days of his life.  He remembered the watchful eye of his Lord that was upon him and the protective hand that was over his life. He gave praise to his God as he went up to worship Him delighting in his Lord.

It is a wonderful thing that our Savior watches over us and protects us each and every day. Greater still is the fact that He has word to clear our confused hearts with truth and real hope.  His tender attention, protective hand and encouraging direction can help us with any situation facing us on the pathways of life.

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,  encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 NIV).
